Apple Pie Ingredients Measurements Apples, Granny Smith recommended 6-8 Cinnamon 2 tsp Butter 1/2 stick Vanilla Extract 1 1/2 tsp All-Purpose Flour 3 tbsp Sugar 1 cup Pie dough rounds, store-bought or pre-made 2 *For an easy pie dough recipe, please refer to the Youtube video below! ❀ Instructions ❀ Set the oven to 350℉ and prepare apples by peeling them and cutting them into even slices Combine all of the ingredients in a large mixing bowl, ensuring everything is well incorporated Add combined ingredients to a large pan and stir consistently until the sauce has thickened and the apples are slightly soft, approximately 8-12 minutes Set the filling aside to cool, then prep your pie dish with your dough, pressing the bottom round into the dish and poking holes with a fork to prevent bubbling Pour in the cooled apple pie filling and cover with the second round of dough Seal the edges with a fork or by pressing them together and brush with an egg wash (one egg and a bit of water) for a shiny finish Cover the pie with aluminum foil and bake for about 50 minutes to an hour, removing the foil towards the end to prevent over-browning Cool and enjoy!
